Orion New Zealand Ltd engaged Apollo Projects for the design and delivery of this 3,200m² greenfield head office and network depot in Harewood, Christchurch.
This two level building utilises a structural steel frame and concrete intermediary floor to meet Importance Level 4 (IL4) code requirements for critical infrastructure buildings.
The exterior is clad using Kingspan “Benchmark” Architectural Panel System providing the benefits of lightweight construction with modern insulation and fire safety technologies.
The fit out component includes a central command unit for crisis management, generation backup electrical supplies and a demountable data and communication centre.
The development includes the internal fit out of services and furnishings and was completed in May 2013.
