On Friday afternoon the Apollo team took part in the Heart Stopper Challenge to raise money for Heart Kids Canterbury, the charity which supports families affected by a childhood heart defect.
The Heart Stopper Challenge is an important date in the Apollo calendar. Four Apollo teams entered and took part in the challenge this year and with the generous support of contractors and suppliers we fund-raised over $5,000 and were able to provide support to the charity to set up the event.
The Heart Stopper Challenge takes place every year and involves teams fundraising, dressing up and plunging into a pool of ice cold water for five minutes. The ice bath is to simulate part of the surgery process that is performed on children with heart defects.
It’s not too late to donate to this worthy cause. Learn more about the event and donate now!
