Proud principal sponsors of the Team Jolly 470 Sailing Team, as they work towards Gold at Rio 2016.
After a three month stint sailing together in 2006-2007 in a 420 – which they finished off by winning the 420 World Championships at Takapuna - Jo and Polly joined forces again in late 2008, this time in the 470 with their eyes squarely focused on the 2012 London Olympics. After an impressive four years of campaigning, with multiple successes at World Cup and World Championship level, they topped it off by winning the Gold medal in style at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
After a chance encounter at a networking function in late 2012 where Paul Lloyd was shocked to learn the team had taken the gold in London with minimal financial support, Apollo came on board as the Principal Sponsors. Convincing a number of our trusted consultants and subcontractors to follow suit, Jo and Polly have had the financial backing needed to ensure they can continue on their path to success and take out another gold!
Since then, Jo and Polly have continued their successful run, taking first place in a number of championship events around the world, and are currently first in the ISAF World Ranking.

The professionalism that Apollo have shown throughout the Edendale Redline upgrade is to be commended. Their attention to detail ensured that the quality of workmanship from all trade staff involved met the food safety standards required as well as stepwise innovative improvement which met Fonterra’s strategy to be “The World’s most trusted source of dairy nutrition.” This project had a challenging time constraint window which Apollo managed extremely well, and now the site has one of the best redlines in the country.
Apollo Projects were the most outstanding company to deal with. From the initial discussion to the completion of the project they were amazingly professional, very open, transparent and honest and prepared to go the extra yard to make sure all parties were fully informed. Not only that, we were finished a month early and under budget…
