Sorted Logistics Stage 3 – in progress

Apollo Projects are currently constructing Stage 3 of a major logistics warehouse and office hub for Sorted Logistics at Waterloo Business Park.  Stage 3 involves 6,500m2 clearspan warehouse and a 350m2 office and café.

At the completion of Stage 3 (expected September 2018) Apollo Projects will have designed and built over 20,000m2 of warehouse and 700m2 office for Sorted Logistics.
The facility utilizes state-of-the-art high-tech wireless systems throughout on seamless post-tensioned concrete slabs and a purpose built traffic flow system to ensure maximum productivity and utilisation of space.

The tapered steel sections allow a clearspan of over 50m. Incorporated into the design of the warehouse are translucent panels to the roof at regular intervals to allow the area to operate on bright days with limited or no additional artificial lighting. Natural light into the office/café has been specifically designed to create a well-lit inviting space.

The two-level office and café, which will provide exclusive discount healthy catered food options for all Sorted staff, has been intentionally positioned on the corner to maximise profile and create architectural prominence to the adjacent Islington Square. The architectural intent of the administration areas will compliment Stages 1 & 2 and will be a blended mix of materials including precast panels with timber imprints, folded aluminum cladding systems and glazing suites. The Sorted Logistics orange will be applied to a portion of the precast which will provide a bright contrast in appearance.
