Apollo managed the construction of the 9,000m2 purpose built food grade cold storage facility at the site with special automated racking systems for the receipt and distribution of dairy products. This included complex sub-floor and panel systems that required the highest attention to detail to prevent excessive energy use and future operational problems.
Apollo was responsible for all matters of the build includingconsenting, design, procurement of all materials and trades, and on site delivery of the project. Fonterra carries a very high standard of health and safety in the construction and operation of its facilities, and Apollo fully supported, endorsed and successfully implemented these policies.
